Yoli

Yoli Review

One way to succeed with MLM is to offer an exceptional product and distribute it with expertise.

Alternatively, you can make mind-blowing claims for your products and offer desperate promotions for new signups to jump start your advantage over the competition (free shipping for a limited time).

Yoli has chosen the second route to attempt market domination in this very tough business- that, plus stressing a fabulous new car for high-performing associates right on the company's home page. Forget “believing in your product”…it's all about that Mercedes!

What is Yoli?

The name “Yoli” comes from the Aztec language, and it means “to live”. Like we said, Yoli markets nutritional products that help people “live” better.

Products are along the lines of many of their competitors:

  • Better Body System. 30-day “transformation system” to jump start metabolism, detox and provide nutrition. Mind-blowing claim: “lose 7-15 pounds in 7 days”
  • Dream (Sleep Formula)
  • Essential Shake
  • Energy Drinks, Sports Drinks
  • Etc

Ingredients are things like carrots, alfalfa, spinach, pomegranate, olive leaf- you get the picture (healthy, natural, full of vitamins). Products are not heat treated, so nutrients are preserved rather than rendered inactive due to high heat processing. Products are sweetened by Stevia…no high fructose corn syrup or sugars.

How are they different, then? Well for one, the founders and executive team aren't still wet behind the ears. They have actual business experience and some time in the industry under their belts. Whether that experience is relevant and helpful to the Yoli venture, well we have only to look at one prime example to know they're headed in the right direction.

The Triumph of Yoli Management

You see, one of the first products Yoli came out with (in 2009) was ahead of its time…a powdered juice drink that came in a “blast cap”. The technology protects the freshness of the vitamins and nutrients inside, so when the consumer attaches a blast cap to the top of a water bottle, all that freshness gets delivered directly to the water.

It was a great idea, but there were delivery problems. The airtight seal was neither airtight nor really sealed. That allowed moisture in, and nutrients out…so the whole point was lost and consumers could tell because the stuff turned into little rocks in the cap…kind of like salt clumps up when it's humid.

But the point is…Yoli execs took action. This was a mistake which could have become a tragedy, if it were not for the action of the founders at this point. They turned the negative into a positive and re-marketed their powdered drink in capsule form. At the same time, recognizing the Alakline trend, they re-configured the drink formula and produced what we now know as Alkalete.

They saw the problem, the adapted quickly, they re-branded the product…and won. Now if that's not evidence of good management then what is?

After All That Good Stuff, the Surprising Verdict

Anyway, the bottom line in all this complex compensation plan mumbo-jumbo is that you must personally be paying for Autoship each month, or be selling/recruiting enough to get it for free. Then and only then will you start earning income.

Autoship must be for a Better Body Kit, which is currently going for $300 on eBay. eBay was, by the way, the only place I was able to find pricing info. Also, the Yoli wesite's shopping cart is a mess- try hitting the “shop” button and you'll see. Based on those last few sentences, I'd say Yoli still needs a little work before it becomes an enticing opportunity.
