Stream Energy

Stream Energy Review

There's another row in the crop of utility MLMs and it's called “Stream Energy“. We say utility, not “electricity” because Stream Energy sells not only energy services but also mobile services and computer services.

Let's take a look at what Stream Energy has to offer us.

Services Offered by Stream

Stream Energy. Energy products including residential and commercial electricity, gas, and even clean energy. Currently, electricity accounts with Stream are available in 5 states plus Washington, D.C. (TX, PA, MD, NJ, NY). Gas service is available in G, PA, MD, NJ, and NY.

Customers may also purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) from Stream Energy. Stream gets some of its power from alternative energy sources like wind and solar. Even customers whose energy does not come directly from renewable sources like solar may benefit from clean energy by purchasing RECs, helping to fund clean energy initiatives.

Stream Mobile. Stream's mobile network covers 99% of Americans (USA) and is backed by 2 nationwide networks. Plans start at $30 per month and you can choose which network you prefer.

There are also phones for sale or you can bring your own, or even trade in your old one for cash. Just like any other mobile service company, basically.

Protective Services. This would be a monthly subscription to an IT service provider who will help you keep your digital life running smoothly. Services include Identity Protection, Credit Monitoring, and Tech Support. Choose 1, 2 or all 3 services- with all 3 costing the consumer $29.95 per month.

All three areas of service offered by Stream are presented at quality and pricing levels which make them competitive in the open market.

Stream Energy Opportunity?

Enroll energy (or mobile or IT) customers and earn bonuses and residual income. From a brief glance at the compensation plan PDF, the bonuses look good ($100 once you get 4 points- your own service counts as a point, and almost all new service subscriptions in the energy sector are worth a point).

The residual income looks a little weak: you see a chart with teeny dollar amounts like $.30…it's not even clear how that works, but it does say that the amount varies with customer usage.

So, if you're getting $.30 on the dollar for your customers' energy bills…that's going to be incredible! Sadly, that's not the way it works, however. Let's just say you're going to have to sign up a lot of people to see real residual income.

The bright side is: move up the levels and this situation gets better. Payouts get higher. So, until you get there, you have those nice $100 bonuses to keep you going (sign up 4 people in your first month, there's $100. Sign up 10 people by the end of your second month, there's $100, etc).

Here's another important benefit. If you sign up 15 people for Energy Services with Stream, you can get your own energy bill all paid for by Stream.

Who's Behind Stream Energy?

The President an CEO is Mark “Bouncer” Schiro, whose qualifications include:

  • President Of His Own Personal Investment Firm, Called STI Investments, LTD.
  • President Of His Own Architectural Paving Product Manufacturing Company, Called STI Masonr, LLC.

The other members of the executive team have similar professional backgrounds in their respective fields- no superstars here, but it's also not just a bunch of green kids, either.

How Do Stream Energy's Chances Look?

The products are nicely packaged, basic and of course everyone needs these things, and phone/energy bills are usually the bills that people don't tend to let go without paying.

So, the market is great. Deregulation of the energy industry has made sure of that.

As far as the competition goes, however, they have some and it's fierce. Stream only works in a very few states right now, and unless you have customers in those 5 states, you don't have a product to sell.

They've been around a few years, too…so what are they waiting for? Expansion would really serve them well.
