Shaklee MLM Review

Shaklee is one of the oldest and longest continually running MLM’s still operating today. Dr. Forest Shaklee and his two sons founded Shaklee in 1956 and put an emphasis on “natural” and “environmentally friendly” business practices.

Today, Shaklee has grown to average yearly revenues of about $160 million with distributors in several countries around the world.

Shaklee Products

Like most MLM’s, Shaklee has a variety of health and wellness products for its’ distributors to sell. One of the most popular products is the Shaklee 180™ weight loss program. This program contains a variety of metabolism boosters, appetite suppressants, and other health products and claims to have clinically tested products.

Shaklee also offers various cleaning and beauty products as well. As mentioned before, Shaklee is very committed to “being green” so much of the cleaning and household products use environmentally friendly ingredients. The beauty products contain very few chemicals and mostly use natural herbal extracts and vitamins.

Shaklee Compensation Plan

Before distributors can do anything, they must pay the $19.95 yearly fee. This fee enables distributors to receive a product guide, a new member kit, and various marketing materials to help new distributors earn money immediately. After this fee is paid, Shaklee distributors can begin earning money.

Shaklee offers the standard compensation plan of most MLMs. The most basic way to earn is by recruiting new distributors and reselling Shaklee products. Shaklee offers a standard 15% discount for beginning distributors and increases this discount based on sales volume.

A volume bonus is given out each month on the 15th based the total volume of your group. The most basic volume bonus is 4%, which is given to distributors with 250 personal volume, or PV. The highest bonus is 34%, which is given to distributors with a PV greater than 10,000.

Other bonuses are also given out based upon several factors including sales volume, activity of your downline, and how fast you increase your sales.

Is Shaklee A Scam?

Shaklee offers products that have been thoroughly tested and inspected, which is unlike most MLM’s. In fact, Shaklee claims to have invested over $250 million dollars into research. This is why Shaklee has a much higher quality of products compared to other MLMs.

As far as distributors go, Shaklee claims the average distributor earns around $8,000 per month. Some senior level distributors earn over $150,000 per year with the top distributors earning over $200,000.

Overall Thoughts On Shaklee

Shaklee is perfect for people who can sell towards the environmental or “green” demographic. Shaklee has clean, environmentally friendly products and those distributors who market Shaklee’s products in this manner stand to make a substantial income online.
