Ryte

Ryte

It's easy to get caught up in Ryte because they've done a fabulous job of marketing their company culture. That goes a very long way in this world, and as MLM companies are finding out, it's the smart way to run a business.

The Company

Ryte is based in Utah and proud of it. Citing the “best playgrounds on earth”, Salt Lake, and a culture of giving, even poking fun of Mormonism a bit while at the same time exuding some of its characteristics in their company vision and motto.

Ryte calls themselves a “benefit corporation”- “doing things the right way”. They stress feeling good: taking care of your health. They employ the best scientists in the world to develop nutrition products for energy, weight management, mood, cellular health, and more.

The premise is that in order “to do good” you have to have enough energy (that's the slightly spiritual reference I mentioned earlier). They aim to help you thrive in your home, work, community, and for yourself . They want to help you get your mojo back.

The ultimate giving company, they call what they're doing a “movement”.

The Founders

  1. Jeff Wilson is the Chief Giving Officer. Founder & CEO of Uppercase Living, a decorative lettering business he took into the $50 million range. He was also an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist. This is relevant …Ryte is in good hands with a solid businessman at the helm.
  2. Riley Schaugaard is the Chief Marketing Officer. He brings the Direct Sales experience to the team, perfectly complementing Mr. Wilson's business acumen.
  3. Dave Stewart is the Chief Sales Officer. Big sales talent, dynamic leader in Direct Sales as well as home automation industry.

Between the 3 of these men, there are all the right ingredients necessary for successfully running an MLM.

The Products

Ryte products give your body the nutrients to get up and be everything you can be, to rejuvenate yourself. They are:

  • Ryte Spark
  • Ryte Fuel
  • Rejuv
  • Ryte Mojo Pack (contains all 3 products)

All 3 products are safe to take every day and help in a long-term framework, giving your body not just a quick shot of energy but necessary nutrients for long-term health and energy. It's not just about energy and weight loss…it goes beyond these aspects of health and well being.

The Ryte Compensation Plan

There are gifts & bonuses galore. Gifts include things like shoes, healthy snacks, travel opportunities including humanitarian and leisure trips. Here are the most significant highlights of the Ryte Compensation Plan. This list is not exhaustive:

  • retail earnings at difference between wholesale and retail
  • team commissions starting at 3% on your first level
  • going up 1% for each level down to Level 7, where commission is 7%
  • must have 120 PV monthly to earn commission
  • Advance with Group Volume increases
  • Group 60 bonus: for the first 60 days of enrollments, you get increased commissions on your new member purchases. 20% on fist level, 10 on the second level, and 5% on the third level
  • Fortune of Four bonus: Sign up for Autoship & get at least 4 more personally enrolled people to do the same:
    1. Get $100 on level 1 (4 enrollees on Autoship)
    2. Get $400 on level 2 (16 enrollees on Autoship)
    3. Get $2,500 on level 4 (64 enrollees on Autoship)

To separate themselves from MLM companies who've given the sales model a bad name, Ryte lists the following facts about their company:

  1. You are not required to be on AutoShip in order to earn commissions.
  2. There is a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, no questions asked.
  3. There is also a 90-day money back guarantee that's pro-rated, for unused products.
  4. Enrollment fee is only $30.
  5. No forced purchase of enrollment packs.

The Verdict: Promising New Generation for MLM

Ryte's policies are clear, the emphasis is on selling quality products, and the compensation plan is wonderfully simple (5 ways to earn, not a gazillion ways).

The founders have solid business backgrounds in relevant industries, and there's one who came from a pure business environment, not just a Direct Selling. This is great because it lends perspective to the executive team.

The company culture is strong, one of the new generation of MLMs that are beginning to break into the mainstream. It's companies like Ryte which will legitimize MLM in the end. I'm surprised they're not a member of the DSA.
