Qivana Company’s Products and Business Opportunity Review

Who Is Qivana?

Can you tell from the name of this company that it has something to do with health? Slightly Eastern-sounding, slightly exotic and totally all about wellness, Qivana is indeed a health and wellness company specializing in natural products.

That's nothing special, but I'm going to dig deep and see if there's something that makes this company and its products stand out from the online plethora of similar companies and business opportunities.

Let's begin with who Qivana is…

The Company

Badges, they've got badges. On their website under “company”, there's a list of badges…are they real? I checked them out, beginning with the Mountain West Capital Network.

Badge #1: The Mountain West Capital Network. The MWCN is simply a chamber-of-commerce type organization for businesses based in Utah. It's a networking organization, which probably costs a lot of money and in exchange, you get to put badges on your website.

While that sounds kind of dishonest, it's pretty normal procedure. At least we know Qivana is serious enough about their business to spend $6,000 on a “Utah 100 Sponsorship”. That's what it costs, according to the MCWCN website.

Badge #2: Prosper Magazine. Never heard of Prosper Magazine, but they did feature Qivana in two separate issues. Prosper is a quarterly rag that writes stories about home-based businesses.

Basically, each issues focuses on one business so it makes splendid marketing material for that business.

Badge #3: Direct Selling News. Qivana got a nice big writeup in the industry's main magazine, Direct Selling News. It was here that I did did learn something unique and interesting about Qivana.

They don't bother with developing their own science in their own branded labs. They simply let university and published scientists do their work, and then partner with them to develop products.

“Let the scientists and the universities and the researchers do what they do best, which is develop, formulate and research. Then allow us to do what we do best.”

-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Qivana, Craig Johanson.

The Products

It always seems strange when companies who have only a few products spread themselves so thin. Qivana, for example, has four products spread across the following sectors:

  1. Probiotics (QORE)
  2. Weight Loss (METABOLIQ)
  3. Energy/Cardio/Sexual (PRIME)
  4. Skincare (SKINSHIFT)

What's the common denominator? My answer would be that these are all hot, trendy product lines that currently dominate the market and carry heavy price points. In my opinion, this shows a “temporariness” philosophy rather than a company that truly has vision for the long term.

I can say, however, that because of Qivana's unique relationship with researchers, it does make sense to cherry pick the best products. Since they don't spend a whole lot on overhead with their own lab, they can be much more nimble when it comes to switching up their product lines according to what's selling.

The Compensation Plan

The only problem with what I just said, is how you're going to sell that idea to customers in order to make Qivana stand out from all the rest.

But let's say you have a way…here's what you'll get with the Qivana compensation plan:

  • Retail Commission. Become a Qivana Business Owner & enroll 1 customer to start getting retail commissions. Retail commission is the difference between wholesale and retail pricing.
  • Quickstart Bonus. Sponsor new Qivana Business Owners and make income off their orders.
    • It's just for their first order and the bonus is a percentage of their order.
    • The percentage depends on what your personal AutoShip amount totals (you get 10% if your Autoship is 100PV, you get 20% if your Autoship is 200PV).
    • The most you can earn is $200 per new Business Owner, and the most you can make in one week on Quickstart is $600.
  • Team Commissions. It's a binary tree structure and you get 10% of volume on your lesser leg. You must be on 100PV monthly and have at least 500 PV on your lesser leg and personally sponsor a Business Owner in each leg.
  • More bonuses, leadership pool, etc.

The Verdict

With not much to make it stand out except the smart relationship with researchers and universities, Qivana seems even less of an attractive deal when you consider you're in for 100 PV per month minimum if you want to make any money. Sorry, Qivana, you're a little risky.
