Modere Review

Modere

Like all the other new shopping portals which have sprung up in the past year or so, Modere wants to change the way the world shops.

So far the only people who've actually done this are Mark Zuckerberg and company at Facebook. They began the shopping revolution known as Social Marketing, whereby Facebook users recommend products to their network of friends, or Pinterest users market products to their followers, or whichever platform represents the latest social media outlet.

We're here today to take a look at the Modere network marketing opportunity and whether or not it's feasible for people like you or me to leverage Facebook and other online platforms to make money with the Modere Compensation Plan.

Modere: What is it and How Does it Work?

Modere is a slick-looking retail website where consumers will find trendy products for creating a wonderful lifestyle…

  • men's and women's lines of personal products
  • health & wellness products
  • home care products

In their own words, their products are modern, stylish, safe, and smart…everything we'd all love our lives to be. But they're offering more than products…what they're selling (and what you'll be selling if you join) is a lifestyle.

Marketing More Than a Product…it's a Lifestyle

You see, with an online marketplace overloaded with the type of products sold by Modere, this company has figured it out (correctly, I might add), that the one way to distinguish yourself amidst a sea of similar competitors is to offer a wonderful customer experience.

Therefore, if you're going to succeed in pushing Modere's products, you'll have to understand the higher levels of advanced marketing philosophy…this is not for beginners.

The Modere Compensation Plan

Like many MLM setups, Modere requires its associates to be on autoship…which is another way of forcing its associates to purchase stuff every month.

You can get yourself off autoship if you sell enough product to fulfill your “quota” via your customers.

The residual income, which of course is the meat of any compensation plan regardless of bonuses and other temporary “kickstart” initiatives, is typical with Modere.

You get 3% to 5% commission on downline sales, down to 8 levels.

Marketing the Modere Products

Do you honestly have enough Facebook friends or loyal Pinterest or Instagram followers where you could push high-end personal care and home care products and make anything? Most people don't, and if you think all your friends on Facebook see everything you post, you better study up and learn more about Social Media!

It's pretty hard to push anything on Facebook these days without paying for it. I'm actually wondering how an MLM like Modere comes out ahead, when anyone with enough social media influence might rather choose a straight affiliate program and skip all the auto-ship, quota, and other barriers to profit they've put in place.

Frankly, the products sold by Modere, although seemingly quite wonderful, just don't stand out in a HUGE crowd…as an end consumer, I can get the same type stuff from Macy's, Beauty.com, or a zillion other merchants who offer nice rewards like airline points, star rewards, cash back etc.

Modere does have a rewards program for customers who buy products. It's $1 = 1 point. Points go towards internal Modere thinks like free shipping and product samples. Therefore, the reward is a little less rewarding than big-name rewards programs.

The Verdict

Modere has done a great job of creating a “Modere Culture” to draw in customers who are lured by a great shopping experience and thoughts of renovating their modern lifestyles through the use of high-end personal care products.

However, that's not enough in the highly competitive world in which their line exists. Plus, what's to entice anyone into the MLM side of things? Again, it's a nice structure but it doesn't stand out nearly enough when compared to the growing cadre of similar opportunities out there.
