Jamberry Nails Review – Make Money Offering Nails Parties?

Jamberry Nails

With a company name like this, we just had to start right off with a definition, of sorts. What is Jamberry Nails? The name is well-chosen: we think of delightful things when we see or hear the words Jamberry Nails. Yum

So, what is it?

Jamberry Nails offers at-home solutions for women who want high-fashion, multi color nails with artistic designs on them (sorry, guys). From glitter to shamrocks, stripes to argyle patterns, there are dozens and dozens of eye-popping styles for customers to choose from. There are even holiday nail designs…bunnies for Easter, cupids for Valentine's Day, etc.

The nails are sold via a network of independent consultants and hostesses, from the comfort of someone's living room. Jamberry Nails offers a compensation plan for women who'd like to become Independent Consultants, as well as perks for women who'd simply like to act as Hostesses (again, sorry, guys- you're welcome to join but for the most part, it's a women's domain).

We'll take a look at the Jamberry Nails product, the Jamberry Nails Compensation Plan, and the Company in order to provide you with a through, objective, and realistic look at Jamberry Nails as a business opportunity.

First, a little background on the folks that started it all…

Jamberry Nails: the Beginnings

You could say they're still in the initial stages of development, but you can't really go so far as to say Jamberry Nails is start-up. 5 years in, they're experiencing growth and development that's both exciting and impressive at the same time.

The company began with three fashionable sisters who liked to get together for girl-time at the local nail salon. In the company of just each other with no distractions, they would bond, laugh and share in each others lives both the good and the bad. It's what women do!

However, their little Hen Circles were pretty costly, and they realized they could get their sister thing done another way….as well as their nails.

Thus the idea of Jamberry Nails was born. Now they had a way for women all over to achieve high-fashion nail art at home for a fraction of the cost of spending the afternoon in a nail salon.

They got a husband involved…one with lots of business experience. Production started, and they were in business as of late 2010. The at-home application techniques were easy and the amazing variety of styles, making the concept a winner right from the start.

The Company

The company has grown quickly in 4 to 5 years. There are now 17 people on the core Team, including that original Husband, Adam Hepworth. He's now CEO. The second full-time employee they hired was Jennifer Harmon, who brought lots of direct-selling experience to the table.

And so it went, from an idea to business to what it is today: a large, successful network of Independent Consultants spanning the United States and Canada, offering women (and probably a few men) a new, affordable way to express their style, earn free product, or even earn extra income.

The Jamberry Nails Compensation Plan

We like it. A quick glance at the PDF showing details of the compensation plan shows lots of $100 entries. $100 bonus for this, $100 bonus for that. That's surprising, too, since Jamberry Nails cost just $15 a pop.

Commissions are high, too: starting at 30% and going up the more successful a consultant becomes. There's a thick layer of fast-start incentives, for each of the first three months of joining. Take a look:

  1. $75 retail product credit for achieving 500 PV, 1 recruit and hosting 1 party in your first month.
  2. $100 retail product credit for achieving 600 PV, 2 recruits and hosting 2 parties in your second month.
  3. $100 Lead Consultant Advancement Bonus for making it to that level in your third month.
  4. Achieve all three and get $100 retail product credit, a pin, and recognition in the newsletter and at the Jamberry Nails Conference.

Likewise, achieve rank and get $100 plus another $100 matching bonus. There are three rank levels which offer this bonus. As you go up the Jamberry ladder, your retail and personal sales commissions increase from 30% to 40%. Make Team Manager and you get $500.

Commissions are earned on your downlines at rates of 3% to 12%.

The market is there, in our opinion. Fancy nails are expensive if purchased in a salon, so if you think you can sell a lot of nails to women who want to save money, have a good time at your party, and find exciting nail styles…it's all yours for a $99 starter kit. Good Luck!
