ID Life Review

ID stands for Individually Designed, and the idea is to live life the way you want to. Sounds pretty good! Worth a look- I noticed that Troy Aikman is on the ID Life website, so that gets me interested. I delved a little deeper and this is what I found..

The Company & Chief Formulator

Based out of Texas, ID Life hinges upon the concept of personalized nutrition.

One size does not fit all when it comes to nutrition, so the chief ID Life scientist/researcher has spent 17 years developing a nutrition plan for all types of people.

His name is Paul Sullivan and he's a pharmacist, formulator & nutritionist. He's the one who develops the nutritional formulas which make ID Life unique.

The CEO is named Logan Stout and he is very active giving motivational speeches to the IDLife tribe.

Three-time Superbowl winning quarterback Troy Aikman is also associated with IDLife as their official spokesperson.

The Individually Designed Life Products

All Natural.

First and foremost, the products are made from all natural ingredients or products synthesized from all natural ingredients.

Chrono-Sensitive Delivery

The ID nutrients are delivered at the time of day when they do the most good, so there is a full range of products which take you from breakfast to dinner.

Formulated With Modern Life in Mind

Things in modern life can strip us of our nourishment. Critical nutrients are replaced by prescriptions, for example. Therefore, any nutrition program must be developed with these modern day influencers in mind. They include:

  • Dietary issues
  • Lifestyle issues
  • Chronic diseases
  • Medical conditions
  • Prescriptions you take

Wide Product Range

Products fall into these 4 categories (this is not the full list but only a representation of the main products):

  1. IDNutrition (no price without taking the assessment)
  2. IDLife Weight Management (2 lbs for $99.99)
  3. IDLife Energy (10 chews for $15.99)
  4. IDLife Sleep ($40.99 for one-month supply)

ID Transformation

By using all their products, you are promised results in 90 days. Cost is $231.99 for a 1-month supply.

Here's what you do:

  1. Take IDNutrition.
  2. Replace breakfast with an IDLife Meal Replacement Shake.
  3. Take Lean 1 hour before your largest meal.
  4. Take an Appetite Control chew half an hour before your second biggest meal of the day.
  5. Instead of coffee, drink IDLife Energy.

Free Nutrition Assessment

To figure out what your nutritional needs would be, the IDLife website offers a free assessment. Of course it's a lead-generating device where you must enter some contact info. Alas, when I clicked to take the assessment, I had a choice of entering a referral code or clicking another button. Since I had no referral code, I clicked the button and was taken to a URL that no longer exists.

Oh well. I guess they'd better fix that one or they'll be losing leads left and right.

The ID Life Compensation Plan

The retail concept is to suggest a personalized nutrition program based on website visitors taking the Assessment. Then, they become convinced to sign up for monthly shipments of their ID Life products.

Direct retail commissions are available to associates at a nice 30%. Residual monthly commissions are also available. The structure is a unilevel setup for commission payout. On your first 3 levels the commission is 3% – 5%.

Fast Start Bonuses

There is a Fast Start Bonus, available within 30 days if you get people on AutoShip:

  • Just one Autoship customer nets you $100
  • Just 3 Autoship customers nets you free Autoship for yourself for that month
  • Get 6 on Autoship within 60 days and you get another $200

For Recruiting New Affiliates:

If your recruit spends $399 (associate package), you get $100. Alternatively, your new affiliate recruit can spend less but sell stuff, you still get the $100. He/she must spend $200 and generate $300 in sales volume.

Business Builder Bonus:

You get $100 per business partner at the Associate position.

My Verdict

The program seems sound, there's good celebrity endorsement, the science is good, and the pricing is fair if you describe it in the right context to your customers.

Love the 30% retail commission, the big Fast Start Bonuses, but not the residual commissions, which seem a bit low. The key is to build your team, which is sometimes a sign of possible danger. Out of 5 stars I'd give this a 3.5.
