Healthy Healing For The Sick and Wounded

In general, the human species has a tendency of being much more sick than it actually needs to be. If we set our minds to it, we could be living lives of a far higher quality than we currently are. Our lifestyles could be longer, healthier, and much happier.

Our global healthcare systems are in desperate need for intensive reformations, and they must be transformed if we are to ever lead the kinds of lives that we wish to. It is up to the individual to take more responsibility for his or her health, future, and overall well-being. For drastic change to ever occur, we must have people rallying for and demanding it.

As a society, we have managed to successfully cultivate only a fraction of our potential in regards to our psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. Each and every one of us truly has a long way to still go, and when we reflect on the state of our health care systems, that fact becomes apparent. It’s important that we start focusing on improvement as soon as we possibly can.

When an individual chooses to start positively contributing to any of these industries, they are in turn contributing to the betterment of the world. They are both directly and indirectly helping the world to become a better place, and they are enabling it to become healthier as well.

This is the main reason that I consider the health industry to be an industry that you can work in that will ensure that you have a positive impact on the world while also being paid generously. If you are in the healthcare niche and you have honorable goals and morals, you really can wind up doing wonders for the industry and those who are directly affected by it.

The healthcare and healing markets are multi-billion dollar industries, and even that is somewhat of an understatement. Personally, I would prefer to see some of these billions of dollars going towards work being done by social entrepreneurs or individuals who have a more holistic approach to healthcare and healing. A holistic approach would lead more to what I call “optimum health”, and would help to move away from a system that is focused on the treatment of diseases.

The system that we have currently revolves around the suppression of symptoms, rather than the treatment and prevention of health issues as a whole. This serves to maximize profits, and works in favor of large corporations, especially in the pharmaceutical industry. If we were to move away from these concepts and instead focus on the optimization of health, the world would be in a healthier and happier place.

This transition naturally would not occur overnight, but I do genuinely believe that it is more than possible. With a little bit of work and determination from all aspects of the industry, we can eventually and successfully get to that point.

There are numerous different careers that you can choose to pursue in this industry. For instance, you could become a therapist, health coach, counselor, advisor, nutritionist, relationship coach, herbalist, spiritualist, physical therapist, energy coach, professional body trainer, healer, author, journalist, blogger, workshop leader, naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist, yoga teacher, midwife, nurse, body worker, integrative medical practitioner, and many more.
